OCTO technologies is a company offering innovative technological solutions for efficient, safe and profitable use of energy in Armenia.The goal of the company is to bring such modern systems in Armenia that would allow people to keep pace with the requirements of the era, making their life more comfortable and using only innovative technologies that will not harm nature and minimize energy costs.
I had a mission to create Visual Identity, Illustrations and UI/UX design for “OCTO technologies”. First step was to create a logotype, so I used the idea of the light and energy and for the colors I have chosen dark blue, white and yellow: dark blue and white represent serious ambitions of the company, and yellow symbolises the sun. Next step was to create unique illustrations, which would showcase the ideology of sunlight and nature, also the connection between nature and solar energy products (water heater tank). So I started with sketches, afterwards I used Affinity Designer app on the Ipad Pro to create digital vector illustrations and for the colors I used opacities of white, dark blue and yellow from 5% to 100%, and I painted every single dot by hand, hence the illustrations became artworks.
After creating the visual identity and digital illustrations I started to work on the website's UI/UX design. As the website was supposed to give information of the company and their products, I came up with the idea that I should concentrate on such a simple user interface which will give users interest to stay on the website and find interest in the company's offer. Therefore I decided to use parallax effect with the illustration (parts of illustration appear while the user is scrolling). I created an adaptive design for desktop, tablet and mobile versions.
